Beautiful rich and well balanced Chardonnay from the upper Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. Sitting at about 1450m altitude and benefiting from the high thermal amplitude, warm days and cool nights, this wine is perfectly balanced.
The producer, Bodega Atamisque is renowned for their focus on french varietals grown in this unique terroir.
The Bodega Atamisque Serbal Chardonnay is a favourite here at the Exclusive Vines family and there are many reasons for it. Firstly, the winery is French owned and they take a lot of pride in their Chardonnay. This wine is made in the the typical Burgundian style. Think Chablis, aiming for purity of flavour over oak. The wine has also won a bunch of awards in Argentina. This modern style of Chardonnay is currently making a renaissance in a market dominated by oak bombs and we love that!
